My personal journey

My own journey has not been straightforward…

I have faced a number of difficulties on my way. These have shaped and informed the formation of livingwell and I would like to share with you in more detail what these were and how I have overcome them, as well as how they keep informing my present practice and my coaching work with my clients

Most of my struggles have had to do with health complications which sometimes caused severe disruptions to my ability to work and really affected my overall wellbeing, my sense of self, my perception of my abilities and my future outlooks - not just in career, but also in life.

I am speaking from an authentic place of lived experience of frustration, struggle and during the worst times - of desperation, deep sense of failure and shame - for what I was experiencing, how it made me feel and who I saw myself as through this lens of shame.

It took me some time to understand what actually was happening and playing out in my life over the years and what effects it all had as a result on my wellbeing, my mental health and physical health. I have spent last 10 years detangling my personal story, my behaviours, tendencies and patterns; understating my own nervous system and its functioning; my trauma triggers while unravelling the secrets and realms of ‘unspoken about’ from the history and ancestry of my family; and slowly but surely learning and understanding why I was burning out, breaking down, struggling with extreme anxiety, depressive episodes, intense self-doubt and low confidence, which were firing up the complications with my health and leaving me struggling with chronic health conditions and illnesses.

My personal tumultuous experiences informed my support work with others, especially in the matters of neurodiversity and mental health, and eventually, my observations and feedback from the work with other people inspired the foundation of livingwell. I feel deep sense of purpose in this work and if I can support not just my clients, but anyone else, utilising and putting into practice what I have learnt through my own experiences, from my formal training and work with my former clients, it will be my pleasure to work with you as well.
